Spring Break Fun

Even though we don't really have a spring break, we took full advantage of our warm, beautiful weather last week!

Our first trip was to the MS Ag Museum with our friends Beth and John Warren. Jacob and John Warren had so much fun looking at the trains and all of the animals!



We even got to ride the train!

Our next trip was to the Jackson Zoo with the Cole and Murray families! Jacob absolutely loved the zoo and all of the "amils" (animals). He talked about going to see the "amils" for several days after our zoo visit.

And..Can't forget our play date with Dude! Buddy and Dude love each other and have so much fun every time we get together!

We ended our fun week with a day at MiMi's house.


After this week of fun, we had one tired baby on our hands!!

We so enjoyed the warm weather this past week and can't wait for summertime!

23 Months

Can't believe it's time for another update!! Jacob is already 23 months!

Here's what Jacob has been up to lately:

• He loves to watch trucks, tractors, and airplanes. He calls every truck a "dump truck". He also loves to watch the garbage truck come down the road. He decided his "truck" needed to be on Da-da's trailer the other day!

• He loves to "side" (slide). He especially likes to "side" off of our bed! Ah...It scares me to death!
• We took him to the aviation museum in Pensacola to see the airplanes! and..he loved it! He walked around the whole time saying "Air-pane, Big..Air-pane."

Who's the kid again???

• Anytime someone sneezes or coughs, he says "Scat-Cat!" Sweet baby!
• He is still liking swimming lessons, but I think he's only in it for the M&M's and cookies!
• He has learned to make pouty lips..He does this alot whenever he gets upset! 

• He tried corn on the cob at MiMi's house and loved it! He's actually getting a little better with his picky eating!

• He still loves to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse every morning, and he's really loving Little Einsteins at the moment!
• He's mostly wearing 24 month clothes and a 7 wide shoe! You're getting so big!!

Can't believe my baby will be two in a month! So, stay tuned for a fun Mickey Mouse birthday! See ya real soon!

Wedding Fun

Over the past weekend, we were able to celebrate wedding festivities with my childhood friend Crystal and her husband Will. It was a beautiful beach wedding and a weekend filled with fun!

This is the where all of the festivities took place.



The rehearsal dinner was Thursday, which was alot of fun. It was a little late for Jacob, so he slept through most of it!

The wedding was Friday..Friday was spent making flower arrangements, bows, and getting ready for the wedding.

Everything turned out perfect, and I'm already wanting to go back to the beach!

22 Months

Wow! Can't believe we are already planning a second birthday party! You are growing so fast! Here's what you are up to these days:

• We had our first "real conversation". It went a little like this. Did you go see Mrs. Norma? "Norma". What did you do at Mrs. Norma's? "Pay". What did you play with? "books".

• You went to see your first rodeo and LOVED it! (see previous post)
• 

• I went on a girls weekend trip and facetimed you and Da-Da. You started crying saying "Momma-get out!" Sweet baby!

• You can now (with our help) count 0-10 and recognize numbers 0-10.

• You like to come tell me when things "Break" and you want me to "fix" them. You get so excited once they are fixed again!

• We've really been working on Please and Thankyou. You've become really good about saying thankyou. You're so polite you say "thankyou-welcome". HeHe!

• You have started to say "I love you Momma". It just melts my heart! You also tell Da-Da and MiMi that you love them too!

• On a not so polite note, You have began to tell everyone No, No, No. Somedays, every question we ask you is answered with a NO! I keep telling myself this is just a phase..

• Whenever it's time for bed, you need ALL of your animals! You now sleep with at least 2 of your lovies, Mickey Mouse, Elmo, monkey, owl, frog, and pup. It stresses me out!

• We are working on learning your letters, but for now everything is "B,C,B,C".

• We are still taking swimming lessons with your friend Emmie. Hopefully you will be swimming some by this summer!

Knocking on some wood before I say this, but you have finally began to eat! Hopefully this will not change! Popcorn has become our new favorite snack!

Rodeo Time

The Dixie National Rodeo is something that our family has attended every year since I was a little girl. It is something that I have always looked forward to every year and have so many memories there as a child! Now, by no means are we the decked out cowboy/cowgirl rodeo family, but we do enjoy this time of year!

This was Jacob's first rodeo to attend, and he absolutely loved it! We had been telling Jacob we were going to see the horses and cows. He was so excited about seeing them that he would immediately run to get his shoes as if we were going at that moment (we probably shouldn't have mentioned it to him until we got there)! He was in awe of everything there from the moment we walked in the coliseum. That boy loves him some hats, tractors, cows, and horses. So this was just a perfect setting for him.

He was pretty quiet in the beginning, just staring at everything going on. He did, at random times, yell "yee-ha", "hat", and "cow". I honestly did not watch much of the rodeo this year, as I was just enjoying seeing him so excited.

I saw nothing but these blonde curls for most of the show!

Every so often he would turn around to tell us something.

He even cheered a little!

Neighbors, Brennan and Noel enjoyed the rodeo.
