Snow 2013

Jacob got to see his first snow ('noooo' as he called it) last week. Jacob had a much need haircut scheduled for 7:45 a.m. the morning it snowed..How convenient!..Since it was just a short drive, we went ahead and braved the snow for the haircut! We quickly made it home for some playtime in the snow!
Jacob liked the snow from the window, but he wasn't too sure about it once we got outside. We didn't stay outside for long, but I did get a few pictures of his first snow.

"Ring Around the Rosie"

Over the Christmas holidays we were all so excited to welcome home "Uncle Mike and Aunt Ame"! Jacob loved them both when he was a baby and loved them just as much this visit! He was even able to convince everyone to play ring around the rosie with him! It gave us all a good laugh, and he absolutely loved that everyone played his game!

"Aunt Ame" thought she was going to get to sit down, but Jacob had other plans!

Everyone was all smiles! Who knew ring around the rosie was so much fun!

We sure do miss our sweet friends when they are gone and love to visit with them when they are home!!

21 Months

Wow! You are growing up way to quickly. This month was very busy for us! It was your second Christmas, and we had so much fun with you this year!
You have began to talk ALOT! It is so much fun listening to you putting words together and trying to tell us things. These are a few of the things that you've said lately:
  • You said "Da-Da home" whenever he got home from work the other day
  • Said "Luv you mama" whenever I was leaving for work. Melted my heart!
  • Whenever you're ready to leave somewhere you walk to the door and yell "GO!"
  • You can count along with me when I say one, you say two..and so on all the way to 9.
  • Whenever it't time for bed, we have to say "bye-bye" to everything! Door, ball, choo-choo, car, etc...

You made your first arts and crafts projects at daycare and I was so proud!

You enjoyed Christmas, even though you were sick the whole time :(. Mean ole croup!! You ended up sick Sunday and were sick the whole week! This was our medicine cabinet for the week. Thankfully, you're all better now!

Santa brought play-doh and you loved it! It kept you busy for a long time!

You still love to play with your Eric Carle alphabet flashcards..(These are a great buy for a toddler!!) You can name pretty much all of the animals A-Z on the cards. Now we need to learn the letters :)

Here you are at your last swim lesson of the year with your sweet little friends.

Alot of kids do not like to wear hats, not you, you beg to have a hat on whenever you see one!

We've discovered the new cookie store and LOVE it! You got so excited whenever we went in saying "cookies cookies cookies". Those m&m's sure were good.

This is how you came in our room the other day! Like I said you like hats! :)

You are still a picky eater, but must have been hungry in the grocery store the other day. You wanted everything in sight. We settled for a "nana".

You're becoming quite the little chef these days in your kitchen with your new pots and pans. You feel the need to eat all of your food out of your pots and pans. Hey, whatever gets you to eat is fine with me these days!

You and Pappaw Randy were on a hunt looking for your hammer. I just love the way you hold your hands above your eyes when you're looking for something.

You and dude still love each other and have so much fun everytime we get together!

Mammaw had her 83rd birthday this month!! While we were there, Grandaddy took you for a ride on his big green tractor! You absolutely loved it and cried whenever we had to get off!

Christmas 2012

Our Christmas is usually very busy! This year was no different. We started on Friday and finished up on Christmas day! We travel from house to house and enjoy spending time with the WHOLE family!

We first took Jacob to Canton for his first City of Lights tour! We all enjoyed it even though it was SO..cold.

Jacob's favorite was the horse and buggy ride around the square.

We spent Saturday night with the Thompson family.
.
Wes loves his ninja turtles!
This was the best group picture with Granchy that we could get! (we tried for a while!) Jacob was so excited about his "air-pane", and Laken was only interested in her new baby doll.

On Sunday, we spent the day with Jay's mom. I felt accomplished for the day when I caught this cutie smiling on camera! (Laken smiling for the camera is a RARE experience!!)
Jacob was super excited about his new red tricycle from Gran!

Christmas Eve breakfast was spent with the Cross family at Granymo and Pappaw's house. Jacob is the only kid in the family there, so, he was the center of attention!

Santa was good to Jacob this year. His favorite thing was the basketball goal!! Pretty sure Santa thought Jacob was a pro-ball player as big as this goal is! :)

Christmas day was spent with the Alman family. Lots of fun was had there too!
and..
Santa even found his way to Mi-Mi's house for the whole family!

This was our Christmas game at Mi-Mi's house. It was a 3D apple puzzle with directions in spanish! It might have been a little bit of a challenge for Jay! :) Jacob even tried to offer some help!

We had a very merry Christmas, and we hope ya'll did too!
